Yaw Flight School is an approved Online Examination centre for NPL.
Minimum Requirements
To meet the Civil Aviation Regulations Part 62, Subpart 5, the following criteria is necessary for training on WCM, CCM and LSA aircraft:
Age and Medical Requirements
• Minimum Age: 17 Years
• Medical Certification: Class 4 valid flight medical certificate is mandatory for all NPL Categories.

• Completion of a Radio Telephony Theory Course and acquisition of a valid radio license.
• Successful completion of theory courses and exams in the following subjects:
- Principles of Flight
- Aircraft General
- Meteorology
- Air Law
- General Navigation
- Human Performance and Limitations
- Type Specific
Meeting these requirements ensures you are fully prepared to obtain your National Pilot Licence (NPL) and operate a Weight-Shift or Light Sport Aircraft safely and competently.
